Catherine M. Burzik
Cathy Burzik is former President and Chief Executive Officer of Kinetic Concepts, Inc., a leading global medical technology company devoted to the discovery, development, manufacture and marketing of innovative, high-technology medical therapies for the wound care, tissue regeneration and therapeutic support systems markets. She is former President of Applied Biosystems, a unit of Applera Corporation, and former President of Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics, Inc., a Johnson & Johnson company providing instruments, assays and consumables to the clinical laboratory and transfusion medicine markets. Ms. Burzik has held management and executive positions at Critikon, Inc., a Johnson & Johnson company, and at Eastman Kodak. She holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Canisius College, where she is also Chair of the Board of Trustees, and a master's degree in mathematics from the University of Buffalo. She serves on the Boards of Directors of AdvaMed, the association representing innovators of medical technology and medical devices; In-Health Institute for Health Technology Studies; and the San Antonio Chapter of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas.
