Rastetter is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Illumina. He is a Partner of Ventrock, and Chairman and CEO of Receptos, Inc. Formerly Rastetter was Executive Chairman of Biogen Idec. and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of IDEC Pharmaceuticals Corporation. He holds a BS from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and an MA and PhD from Harvard University.
