Frequently Asked Admissions Questions
What is a Professional Science Master’s (PSM) degree?
The MBS is a professional science master's degree program. PSM programs are characterized by "science-plus," combining rigorous study in science or mathematics with skills-based coursework in management, policy, or law. PSM programs emphasize writing and communication skills, and most require a final project or team experience, as well as a "real-world" internship in a business or public sector enterprise (as found on sciencemasters.com). The Master's of Bioscience (MBS) program educates leaders for the bioscience industry who are able to unlock the relationships between business, engineering, and science. Its two intense years of cross-disciplinary study are filled with work on real-world projects with leaders in the bioscience industry. The program requires an industry internship and participation in an industry-sponsored Team Masters Project.
