Keck Graduate Institute understands the importance of financial aid in assisting students to cover the cost of attendance. Last year, KGI awarded over $1.2 million in scholarship aid to the incoming class through endowed, gift and KGI funded scholarships.
At this time, students applying for the Master of Bioscience (MBS) and Master of Engineering (MEng) in Biopharmaceutical Processing program are the only applicants eligible for KGI scholarships. Scholarship matching is only available to MBS students.
MBS applicants are encouraged to submit their applications in the priority round in order to receive first consideration for KGI fellowships. All KGI fellowships are awarded on the basis academic merit, and the overall promise shown by an applicant.
General criteria for potential awards include:
- Academic Potential
- Work and/or relevant research experience
- Leadership/community involvement
All admitted students will receive an aid package that is unique to him or her.
Scholarship Application Process
The online application for the Master of Bioscience (MBS) program includes a checklist of funding opportunities. You will receive a follow up email with links to the various funding opportunities after your application has been submitted.
Students who are enrolled in the MBS program and have received a scholarship from outside KGI will be able to have their scholarship matched up to $2,500 per year. Adequate proof of scholarship must be provided before scholarship matching is considered.
There are many places to find outside scholarships. If you belong to clubs and organizations, please speak to their main office for more information. Please follow us on Twitter for outside scholarship opportunities.
