Fellowship Opportunities
Keck Graduate Institute understands the importance of financial aid in assisting students to cover the cost of attendance. This coming year, KGI anticipates awarding nearly 2 million dollars in fellowship aid to the incoming class through fellowships and scholarship matching.
At this time, students applying for the Master of Bioscience (MBS) program are the only applicants eligible for KGI fellowships and scholarship matching.
KGI Funded Fellowships
MBS applicants are encouraged to submit their applications in the priority round in order to receive first consideration for KGI fellowships. All KGI fellowships are awarded on the basis academic merit, and the overall promise shown by an applicant.
General criteria for potential awards include:
- Academic Potential
- Work and/or relevant research experience
- Leadership/community involvement
All admitted applicants are also eligible to received named fellowships ranging from $5,000 to $25,000 per year. For the 2012–2013 application cycle, 25 named fellowships were awarded to the incoming class. These named fellowships are funded through the generous donations of our Board of Trustees members, Philanthropic Organizations, and key leaders in the life science industry.
