Campus News - Visitation Day Success

Over 30 prospective students from all over the country made their way to Claremont a few weeks ago for the MBS Fall Visitation Day. Visitation Day is a semiannual event designed to familiarize prospective students with KGI’s offerings in the way of current students, faculty, staff, industry connections, alumni and state of the art facilities. We were thrilled to get such positive feedback from participants. Here is what a few visitors had to say about highlights from this semester’s visitation day.

“[I] Really like the Beer and Wine fermentation lab and Dr. Croughan’s CHO dance.”

“The highlight of the day had to be happy hour with the students and alumni. It really gave me the opportunity to ask the questions I was too embarrassed to ask and allowed me to get a better feeling for the school.”

“[Happy hour with current students] was a great opportunity to get to know them on a more casual level and to hear more about their experiences at the school. Socializing with them gave me a great impression of what interactions with students on a daily basis would be like if I went to KGI.”

“Listening to the alumnus who works at City of Hope and studied at Maryland, College Park. His confidence, his demeanor, and what he had to say about his experience, it sold me. I aspire to hold myself in that manner, confident in what I know, ready to break down barriers.”
