KGI Students Published in Tuftscope
The KGI Journal Club was founded by MBS Class of 2011 students Wah Yan and Ryan LaRanger, with distinguished professor M. Ian Phillips as faculty advisor, to provide a venue for students to further develop professional writing skills on topics of importance within the bioscience industry. This spring, the KGI Journal Club is pleased to announce the publication of “Benefits of the Orphan Drug Act for Rare Disease Treatments,” by KGI 2011 MBS students Boris Gites, Jessica Chang, and Mona Chughtai. The article will be published in the Spring Express 2010 issue of Tuftscope: The Interdisciplinary Journal of Health, Ethics, & Policy. The KGI Journal Club includes students with diverse backgrounds ranging from bioengineering and molecular biology to chemistry and math. By having such a diverse PSM program, KGI harbors an environment where students are applying their networking and professional communication skills as well as learning business skills to leverage their bioscience careers. KGI also nurtures professional communication skills inside and outside of the classroom, and the KGI curriculum allows students to bridge the connection between science and business to drive innovative solutions to current challenges in the biotech industry. KGI congratulates the achievements of these talented students and looks forward to continued success and accomplishment from the student body. Read more student articles here.
