James Schaeffer
Executive Director of Licensing & External Research-West Coast, Merck
Dr. Schaeffer joined the Licensing Department in 2003 following a 16 year career leading the Endocrinology Research labs. Prior to joining Merck, Dr Schaeffer was on the faculty at the University of California San Diego's Medical School. Dr Schaeffer received his PhD at Baylor College of Medicine and was a post-doctoral fellow at the Pasteur Institute in Strasbourg, France and the National Institutes of Mental Health in Bethesda, Md.
