Kenneth Gruys
Ken Gruys has been recognized for his scientific accomplishments by being appointed science fellow at Monsanto Co. in Davis, California. Previously, he held the position of site director, as well as a program/research director for Monsanto, based in St. Louis. Gruys received his BA in chemistry from Gustavus Adolphus College, his PhD in chemistry from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and was an NIH Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute for Enzyme Research at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His research interests include metabolic engineering in plants, biological catalysis, and enzyme structure and function. Gruys has also been recognized as an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
