Linda Castle
Linda Castle, Research Director for Pioneer Hi-Bred, a DuPont company
Linda Castle is a research director in trait discovery for Pioneer Hi-Bred, Intl., a DuPont business. She heads the site and leads a research group for herbicide trait discovery and gene improvement at the Hayward, CA, facility. Prior to joining Pioneer, Castle was with Maxygen, Inc., a technology-based company that developed DNA shuffling for directed gene improvement, from 1998-2004. Her PhD is in Genetics from Oregon State University with an emphasis in molecular biology and plant genetic engineering.
