Doctoral and Postdoctoral students learn and practice professional skills and industry-specific practices in the context of various life science industry sub-sectors. Each class session introduces the industry dynamics within a life sciences sub-sector with both historical and current studies in the business, policy, legal, and regulatory factors that will enable students to be conversant in that industry sub-sector. The class format is a seminar-style active discussion that requires students to converse and practice the professional skills that will help them transition smoothly into the life sciences industry. This unique course is designed to provide both Certificate of Bioscience Management and Postdoctoral Professional Master's students with education in the tools needed to navigate their careers in the applied life sciences.
