What is the policy regarding appropriate use of KGI IT resources?
Access to KGI IT resources is a privilege, which is allowed only to KGI's personnel, students, and authorized visitors. All users must understand and abide by the responsibilities that come with the privilege of use. Use must be in accordance with the the KGI Appropriate Use Policy. Computer Labs are located in the 535 and 517. Please do not disconnect the power cords or network cables on the lab PCs. If you walk away from a PC please lock the display, but be considerate of others, logoff if you'll be gone for more than a few minutes. Don't store data on the local drive of any PC - that includes the Desktop. We do not back up local hard drives. A PC with scanner is located in the 535 Computer Lab.What networked folders are accessible to me?
Faculty/Staff: Your personal network drive is the J: drive.Students: Your personal network drive is the U: drive.
Only you have access to the J or U drive. It is accessible from any KGI computer that you are currently logged on. Data should never be stored on your desktop or anywhere else on the C: drive. If your system crashes, you may lose all of your work. Other Network Locations: There are also other network locations that contain shared files that you or your department may have access. These will be explained on an as needed basis.
