Social Organizations
In addition to professional clubs, there are a number of social organizations that encourage student interaction among different classes and academic programs, and enrich student experiences at KGI outside of the classroom.
Anime Club

The KGI Anime Club is an informal social club that meets bi-weekly throughout the school year. The club explores Japanese culture through Japanese animation (Anime), Japanese food and tidbits of Japanese language. The intention of the club is to provide an atmosphere for students across the various KGI programs to relax, socialize and enjoy Japanese culture.
Beer Club

Beer Club is about brewing and appreciating various areas of beer making. Tastings are generally focused around a region (Belgium, for example) or a theme (Autumn brews). The tastings have a descriptive PowerPoint for each beer tasted, and brewing occurs at various member houses.
Biofuels Club

KGI's Biofuels Initiative is seeking to both cultivate relationships with the biofuels industry and increase the exposure of KGI students to this career path. Guest speakers from industry come to KGI to discuss developments within the field and its future. In addition, a planned tour to a biofuel plant is held in the Spring to witness firsthand production process.
Community Outreach Club

The Community Outreach Club will provide KGI students the opportunity to participate in public services and social events that benefit the community as a whole. We will strive to learn and lead in the community to find passion in making a difference.
International Student Club

Focused on the promotion of cultural diversity on campus, the International Students Club serves as a hub and resource for international students. Through the various cultural events organized by the club, the KGI community has the opportunity to enjoy its rich inherent cultural heritage.
KGI Spanish for the Health Professionals Club

The KGI Spanish for the Health Professionals Club aims to provide an informal environment where interested individuals can familiarize themselves with conversational Spanish and healthcare related terminology in Spanish. Please join us if you are interested in learning this useful language, or if you're simply interested in learning about another culture! All are welcome!
Outdoor Club

The Outdoor Club organizes social events for the entire student body in the great outdoors. This year, the club is planning a camping trip, a skiing and snowboarding trip, a beach barbeque, and a golf tournament.
Photography Club

We at the Photography Club simply love taking pictures! Come join us as we explore more about the world of photography and the different genres that exist. We hope that we can encourage you in your photography passions by holding photography mini-workshops and going on several shooting events throughout the year. All skill levels are welcome!
Research Club

The Research Club aims to encourage students to pursue and cultivate their research interests by engaging in student-run journal discussions, independent research proposals and presentations. The club will function to provide a place where students interested in research activities can share their experiences and knowledge and learn about the research of fellow students, faculty and staff.
Wine Club

Wine Club meets bi-weekly throughout the school year and explores wines from throughout the world through tastings and presentations. Members also take field trips to regional wine-producing areas, such as Temecula.
Yoga Club

Yoga Club meets on a weekly basis and session are led by certified instructor. Yoga is an excellent way to de-stress, make friends, and get a little exercise in too! The club is open to all levels, from beginning to advanced, and members can join throughout the year.
