Insurance
International Students
All international students and scholars are required to enroll in the Claremont University Consortium sponsored health insurance program. You can find information about the policy by logging on to the following website: www.renstudent.com/claremont. For more information, please click here.
Your premiums for this coverage are included with your fall tuition bill. Coverage is effective August 3, 2012 until August 30, 2013. You will receive an insurance brochure during Orientation. If you wish to insure a spouse or dependent child under your policy, there will be additional costs for coverage.
Domestic Students
Domestic students may obtain a health insurance plan through the Claremont University Consortium, mentioned above. Additional information will be provided during Orientation, but please note that if you wish to obtain coverage, the deadline for enrollment is February 4, 2013. If you wish to enroll a spouse or dependent child, additional costs will apply.
Coverage Highlights
- $100 per year deductible*
- Annual Flu Shot 100% covered
- 90% coverage for hospital stay
- Covers mental conditions and learning disability needs
- Outpatient Prescription Drugs are covered 100% after a $20 co-pay (generic) and $40 co-pay (brand-name)
*The deductible is waived if the covered student first utilizes and/or is first referred by Student Health Services or if Student Health Services is closed.
Rates
All international students are automatically enrolled and the billing is processed accordingly.
