In August 2018, KGI launched its new brand platform that included a redesigned logo to better reflect the Institute’s vision. The KGI “Hexagon” connects innovation and collaboration to create career pathways within healthcare and the applied life sciences.

The KGI color palette

Based on feedback during the process, navy is replacing teal as the primary color for the new logo. The combination of navy, aqua, and red is known as a “reverse split complementary” color scheme, which produces a strong visual contrast.

Navy

Navy is a shade of blue. Blue is associated with intelligence. It helps improve concentration and stimulates thinking and mental clarity. Navy is a color that is linked with confidence and shows persistence.

Aqua

Aqua is a shade of blue that lies on the scale between blue and green. Its characteristics are a blend of both…the calmness of blue combined with the growth of green. Aqua contains the energy of yellow, making it an uplifting color.

Red

Red is associated with energy, strength, and determination. Red has an effect on our physiological state, and it attracts attention more than any other color.
