KGI to Host First International Recruiting Event at University of London
On July 17, KGI will host a first of its-kind international recruiting event at Queen Mary, University of London. The event will give U.K.-based students an opportunity to learn more about KGI's various programs and its unique brand of bioscience and business education. Although the focus will be on the Postdoctoral Professional Masters in Bioscience Management (PPM) program, information will also be available about the Master of Bioscience (MBS), PhD and Postbaccalaureate Premedical Certificate (PPC) programs.
"Today's life science industries are truly global in scope, and I think there are many European students and young scientists who would be interested in acquiring the type of skills and industry knowledge that KGI provides," said event organizer and speaker Dr. Joel West, professor of entrepreneurship and innovation.
West will be joined at the event by Dr. Hadi Mirmalek-Sani, who graduated from the PPM program this past May. "I chose to pursue a PPM degree over an MBA for many reasons," Mirmalek-Sani said. "It's the only program of its kind; it's directed specifically to PhDs and MDs, which was important to me, and it's all taught in the context of the bioscience industry. KGI's many networking events also gave me direct exposure to key contacts in industry. Overall, I felt it was an important step toward developing my own personal brand in the bioscience industry."
