Faculty, Marketing and Operations
Type: Faculty, Exempt
The Keck Graduate Institute is seeking to hire two business faculty (rank open) to teach in its graduate professional programs. We anticipate two separate positions:
- Technology Marketing: to teach introductory marketing, and electives such as marketing research; and
- Operations Management: to teach courses in operations, supply chain management and other topics.
Faculty member(s) will also advise students in our industry-sponsored capstone Team Master's Project. The two-year Master of Biosciences (MBS) program is the nation's first and leading Professional Science Master's degree for students with undergraduate technical degrees. The school's graduates are employed by leading biotechnology, medical device and other life science companies in North America and Europe, in functional areas such as marketing, finance, operations, regulatory affairs and process engineering. For more information, see www.kgi.edu
Candidates must possess a relevant earned doctorate prior to the date of appointment; experience related to the biomedical or health care sectors is desirable, as are industry and graduate teaching experience. The successful candidate will be appointed at a level commensurate with experience. Faculty with an active research program typically have an annual teaching load equivalent to four semester courses, while other applicants will be considered for appointment as a professor of practice.
A confidential review of applications, nominations and expressions of interest will begin October 15, 2014 and will continue until an appointment is made. The intended start date is summer 2015. To be ensured full consideration, please submit the following via email to bus-prof-app[at symbol]kgi.edu:
- A letter of interest describing professional and academic experience and expertise.
- A Curriculum Vita.
- A list of three professional references and one to three relevant publications. Queries about the position may be sent to Joel_West[at symbol]kgi.edu.
