As the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Professor Dewey has led Keck Graduate Institute in building a world-class interdisciplinary curriculum. His research is in the general area of biophysics and computational biology with the goal of understanding complex biological systems. He has worked on a range of scientific problems including theoretical sequence-structure relationships in proteins and RNA and dynamic modeling of gene expression. Dr. Dewey earned his PhD in chemistry from the University of Rochester, and completed his postdoctoral work in chemistry at Cornell University. He received his undergraduate degree in chemistry from Carnegie-Mellon University.
