Career Services

The Career Services Office has a dual mission:

• to provide resources and support to equip KGI students and alumni with strategies for successful career planning and development to capitalize on these opportunities to secure satisfying internships and career positions
• to establish and maintain recruiting relationships with companies in the bioscience industry that generate opportunities for internships, full-time employment and professional interaction with the corporate community

The CSO supports KGI wide initiatives to build connections within the corporate community including an annual Industry Spotlight Day and a Guest Lecture Series that brings to campus key executives in the biotech industry to discuss career opportunities, corporate cultures, and the skills to be successful.  The CSO also hosts an on-line job board and resume book and supports on-campus recruiting. 

To accomplish the second part of this mission, the CSO offers individual advisement and group workshops in: resume preparation, cover letters, interviewing techniques, job search know-how, and business etiquette.  The Career Services Office also houses a small resource library and hosts an on-line document library.  

KGI students have the advantage of interacting with industry leaders who are members of the KGI Board of Trustees, Advisory Council, Team Masters Project liaisons and internship sponsors. These individuals, as well as KGI faculty, serve as resources, advisors, mentors and references for internship and employment opportunities.
