Sheldon Schuster, PhD
President and Professor

Dr. Schuster was Director of the Biotechnology Program and Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Florida before coming to KGI. He earned a PhD in biochemistry at the University of Arizona and a BS degree in biochemistry from the University of California, Davis. His research has focused on understanding the relation between structure and function of ATP synthase and asparagine synthetase, with the goal of finding new targets for synthesis of mechanism-based inhibitors of disease related enzymes. He has also been involved in understanding the role or mycoplasmal infections in malignant tumor progression.
