Alumni to Student Corporate Mentoring Program

Last year, KGI implemented a Corporate Mentor Program. This was a successful program that paired industry leaders with a KGI second year student in order to create a mutually beneficial relationship. The student was able to learn from the life lessons of their Mentor and the Mentor learned more about KGI and our events.

On the heels of a successful inaugural year, the KGI Corporate Mentor Program is gearing up for the 2007-08 academic year, we would like to extend a personal invitation for 2002 and 2003 Alumni to get involved. You will be able to see first hand how this program has become an avenue for second year students to expand on current strengths and to develop new skills necessary to help them succeed in the biotech industry.

Here you will find a program summary and interest form. To signify your willingness to participate, please take the time to fill out the interest form and return it to Sue Friedman, by Friday, August 24th.

Please notice in the summary, we have identified key dates for this program:

  • September 20 – Mentor program reception and kickoff here at KGI
  • April 22 – Mentor program appreciation reception

We have a number of Mentors that may be constrained geographically and may not have the time to attend these events. We have been able to work with these constraints by pairing Mentors with Mentees that live in their area and may be able to have face to face meetings when the student return for breaks. If you have questions or comments, don’t hesitate to contact me.

We are looking forward to another successful year and hope that you will join us!
