What is the policy regarding appropriate use of KGI IT resources?
Access to KGI IT resources is a privilege, which is allowed only to KGI's personnel, students, and authorized visitors. All users must understand and abide by the responsibilities that come with the privilege of use. Use must be in accordance with the The Claremont Colleges Policy Regarding Appropriate Use of Campus Computing and Network Resources. Computer Labs: are located in rooms 111 and 113 in building 535, and in room 151 in the 517 building for your use. Please do not disconnect the power cords or network cables on the lab PCs. If you walk away from a PC please lock the display, but be considerate of others, logoff if you'll be gone for more than a few minutes. Don't store data on the local drive of any PC - that includes the Desktop. We don't back up local systems. The antivirus software on the lab PCs updates automatically every few hours, please do not try to interrupt the update - it should complete within a couple of minutes. The scanner PC located in the 535 building, room 118 may be used for scanning.

What networked folders are accessible to me?

Data should never be stored on your desktop or anywhere else on your hard drive. If your system crashes, you may lose all of your work.
