  • The KGI PharmD program accepts all applications via PharmCAS.
  • Priority Deadline: December 3, 2023
  • Final Deadline: June 3, 2024
  • Applicants are encouraged to apply by the Priority Deadline for priority consideration for merit-based scholarships.
  • The PharmD program follows a rolling admissions policy. Seats will be filled as qualified applicants are identified. Thus it is advised for students to apply as early as possible, as seats may be filled before the final deadline occurs.

Requirements

  • All prerequisite courses completed at a regionally accredited institution prior to entrance in the PharmD program at KGI.
  • Grade of “C” or better in each prerequisite course (see the list of required prerequisite courses below).
  • Science courses must be no more than 10 years old.
  • Transfer courses from other PharmD programs are not accepted.
  • The online application must include contact information for three references. Letters of recommendation from family members are not accepted. These references must include:
    • One professor or instructor that the applicant has taken an academic course with;
    • The remaining two references are up to the applicant, but one reference relating to pharmacy work is preferred
  • Applicants should submit the following directly to PharmCAS:
    • Sealed official transcripts from all colleges attended. If the transcript is from a school outside the U.S., official course-by-course evaluations should be submitted.
  • Admissions offers are contingent upon satisfactory completion of a criminal background check and drug screening

Note for prospective international students: Keck Graduate Institute has filed a petition update to Form I-17 “Petition For Approval of School for Attendance by Nonimmigrant Student” for the PharmD program with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Upon approval, KGI will be able to issue I-20s to students wishing to apply for an F-1 student visa.

The following prerequisites may be completed as an undergraduate student at any university or two-year community college prior to enrollment in the Pharmacy program. If you have questions about locating a specific prerequisite, please consult our prerequisite comparison page for a list of acceptable substitutions. If you have a question about a course that is not listed on the prerequisite guide, please send the following information to admissions@kgi.edu for review:

  • Name of school
