What first got you interested in your field of choice?

I’ve had a passion for biology, patterns, and complex systems ever since high school. Genetics and bioinformatics fulfill all of my educational cravings and are revolutionizing pharmacy and healthcare. I’m excited to pursue a career that will have such a big impact on people’s lives.

What type of obstacles have you had to overcome on the road to getting your education?

I have been very fortunate throughout my schooling with a strong support base from my friends and family. The biggest obstacle I have had to overcome in my educational journey is moving across the country for my graduate education at KGI. However, I view this more as an opportunity to explore and grow!

How did you know that KGI was the right school for you?

I knew KGI was right for me because of the small class sizes, the flipped classrooms, and the very welcoming atmosphere on my interview day. Also, the MSGDA program is so unique and emphasizing preparing students for their future careers.

Why did you want to become an Admissions Ambassador?

During my graduate school search process, KGI was the only school that arranged for me to speak with current students. They provided so much insight into the program and the school from a student’s perspective, that it really enabled me to make a confident decision. Through the Admissions Ambassador program I will be able to return the favor and help future students make educated decisions for their future.

What is one fun and interesting fact about you?

My dream is to live in a tiny house someday! They are so efficient, eco-friendly, and adorable!
