Tell us about an experience you’ve had outside of class (an internship, research project, publication, etc.).
During the summer I completed BSUITE for the second time and was part of the Mykito TMP. The project was to create medical grade chitosan from a non-animal derived source, and we spent the entire summer optimizing the upstream process to improve yield.
What's one thing at KGI that no student should miss or what advice do you have for incoming students?
I think incoming students should try to get a job with Student Affairs because the bosses are dope. They are really supportive and will always listen. No matter what happens they will always be there to help. If you have the opportunity to work there, you will not regret it.
Where is your favorite spot at KGI or in Claremont and why?
The writing center. I literally spend most of my day there. I like it because there's a couch, snacks, and an adjustable desk. It's a nice room that sits in the middle of Student Affairs so you will likely get friendly visits from Andrea, Cindy, and Sarah.
