What first got you interested in your field of choice?

I have always gained a great sense of fulfillment from helping others and knew that it was something I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I have also always had a strong passion for math and science, so a career in pharmacy and the health sciences always seemed like the perfect fit for me!

What type of obstacles have you had to overcome on the road to getting your education?

For everyone, the road to graduate school is going to be long and has plenty of different challenges. For me, the biggest challenge was working while going to school, but it gave me great time management skills and helped me develop a strong work ethic that has greatly benefited me in all aspects of my life.

How did you know that KGI was the right school for you?

I was very interested in gaining exposure to all the different career paths pharmacy has to offer, especially the industry. For that reason, I found KGI’s strong industry connections very appealing as well as impressive. I also thought that KGI’s Medical and Clinical Affairs certificate program was very interesting and would give me a unique opportunity to learn more about that side of pharmacy and differentiate myself from others in the post-graduate job market.

Why did you want to become an Admissions Ambassador?

I love being a part of the KGI community and getting involved to help out in as many ways as possible. I want to be a resource to potential future students and would love to help KGI continue to recruit intelligent and passionate students to our campus in order to keep building a strong community.

What is one fun and interesting fact about you?

If I was not pursuing a career in pharmacy or health sciences, I would want to become a California State Lifeguard.
