What first got you interested in your field of choice?

Growing up, when I first heard that my grandfather was having multiple health complications and saw all the medications he had to take, I became more curious about what kinds of medications they were and which of the various health complications they used to help treat. Further, I started working in the pharmacy during the height of COVID, which helped me solidify that pharmacy was the career path for me. Also, I have always been someone who found great joy in helping other people, and I knew that this was something I wanted to do for the rest of my life.

What type of obstacles have you had to overcome on the road to getting your education?

Three of the biggest obstacles that I have had to overcome to be where I am today were changing my poor studying habits, learning how to prioritize and manage my time efficiently, not allowing myself to get in my own way, and having more confidence in myself and my abilities.

How did you know that KGI was the right school for you?

I knew that KGI was the right school for me when I learned about its utilization of team-based learning, incorporation of interprofessional education, and smaller campus. Also, KGI is a school that truly cares about their students, and it is shows as they place emphasis on student feedback. Lastly, everyone, from the faculty to the upperclassmen, and even my class, has made my transition here to KGI very worthwhile. I am extremely grateful to be part of this warm, supportive, and tight-knit community.

Why did you want to become an Admissions Ambassador?

I wanted to become an Admissions Ambassador because I wanted to help give back to the KGI community and share the great experiences that I have had at KGI. With being an ambassador, I can connect with prospective students and be a resource to them. My goal is to help ensure that the incoming students have a smooth transition as well as have the best experience here at KGI.

What is one fun and interesting fact about you?

An interesting and fun fact about me is that I write and produce songs. Recently, I wrote, recorded, and produced my own album.
