What first got you interested in your field of choice?
My passion for the industry and the role it plays in healthcare sparked my interest in applied life sciences.
What type of obstacles have you had to overcome on the road to getting your education?
I grew up in an era of adversity which peaked at the 9/11 terror attacks in New York. After experiencing this first hand, my family faced many societal and economic pressures which continued to pose as an obstacle even throughout my undergraduate career.
How did you know that KGI was the right school for you?
When applying to KGI, the faculty and staff were so helpful and extremely supportive of my passion to continue my education. The classroom sizes are also fairly small which means we have a greater degree of one-on-one exposure with every instructor.
Why did you want to become an Admissions Ambassador?
I was an Admissions Ambassador at my undergraduate institute and had the opportunity to speak to incoming students and parents and it was such an amazing experience. In addition to this, transitioning from an undergraduate university to a graduate program was a pretty intimidating feeling for myself and I wanted to be able to give guidance to incoming students during their transition.
What is one fun and interesting fact about you?
I had the honor to attend the 30th G8 summit in 2003 at Sea Island, Georgia and was able to meet Former President Bush and the Chancellor of Germany which was a pretty fun experience!
