What first got you interested in your field of choice?

I was lucky to be exposed to the field of pharmacy as a kid by friends and family. I was always interested in science and the healthcare industry. However, I solidified my interest when I started working as a pharm tech. I enjoyed helping people, and it was fulfilling to know that I could have a positive impact on people's lives.

What type of obstacles have you had to overcome on the road to getting your education?

Covid had a big impact on my journey to pharmacy school. I was lucky enough to graduate from undergrad before the pandemic started, but once I started working full-time and helping my family more, it was tough to make the decision to come back to school. Now that the pandemic has waned, it's easier for me to see that coming to KGI was the right decision for my future goals.

How did you know that KGI was the right school for you?

During my interview process, the only school which stuck out to me was KGI. I enjoyed how the longer interview process meant we were able to speak with professors, staff, and students at different times and ask different questions to each group separately. I also liked knowing how the smaller class sizes would allow for more opportunities for anyone interested.

Why did you want to become an Admissions Ambassador?

I remember how stressful the interview process was for me, and I'd like to ease that burden for others. I also see how KGI is growing and I'd like to contribute to showing others why KGI is a great place to be at.

What is one fun and interesting fact about you?

I've been playing basketball since I was five years old!
