Tell us about an experience you’ve had outside of class (an internship, research project, publication, etc.).

I participated in the I-Corps Bio-Entrepreneurship program funded by the National Science Foundation’s (NSF) Innovation Corps (I- CorpsTM). This program exposed me to entrepreneurship education, networking opportunities, and mentoring. Though my interests are primarily in science and biotechnology innovation, being a participant in this experience catapulted my career interest in the business and marketing aspect behind life science research and derived products. Thus, my attendance at KGI.

What's one thing at KGI that no student should miss or what advice do you have for incoming students?

Although growth is inevitable and a good thing, be true to yourself and do not lose yourself in trying to keep up with what others are doing. Stay in your lane and you always get to your destination.

Also, don't miss the industry talks. They are a great networking resource.

Where is your favorite spot at KGI or in Claremont and why?

Home with my bed, dog, peace, and quiet :)
