Dear KGI Community,
Please see below for an update from the COVID-19 Task Force.
Positivity Rate for The Claremont Colleges
As a reminder, KGI monitors the daily testing and positivity rates through a comprehensive reporting dashboard for all of the colleges within TCC to inform our decisions. This includes surveillance testing and required testing for exemptions at Pomona, Scripps, HMC, CMC, Pitzer, CGU, KGI, and TCCS. At the highest, our positivity rate since the return to campuses has been 0.55%.

Flu Shot Requirement
As a friendly reminder, Faculty and Staff working on campus must provide adequate proof of influenza immunization to Human Resources by November 1. Flu season generally begins October through May and peaks in December until February. According to the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), flu vaccination is a safe and effective way to prevent millions of illnesses and thousands of related medical visits every year. Flu vaccinations also protect those around us, including those who are more vulnerable to serious flu illness.
Faculty and Staff: Upload Proof of Influenza Vaccination by November 1

Students must show proof of influenza vaccination by November 1st
You can upload your documents on the Student Health Services confidential My Health Portal. Students who do not submit proof of their influenza vaccination by November 1st will have a Spring 2022 registration hold on their Student Account. This will prevent students from either registering or making registration changes until the hold is cleared.
If you need to request a vaccine exemption, please email Student Accessibility at student.accessibility.kgi.edu.
COVID-19 Symptom Monitoring Requirement
Students, Faculty, and Staff experiencing symptoms associated with COVID-19 should stay home and contact their instructor, supervisor, or Human Resources. A complete list of symptoms can be found here.

Guests not vaccinated and visiting campus for more than 8 hours in one day require proof of a negative COVID-19 test within 48 hours of arrival on campus.
