Dear KGI Community,
Effective today, Monday, March 7, KGI will no longer require that masks be worn while inside buildings regardless of vaccination status.
On March 4, LA County Public Health posted its updated mask guidelines. This is a result of the CDC changing their Community Level Metrics which measure the impact of COVID-19 illness on health and health care systems. These metrics demonstrate that the COVID-19 burden on the County’s health care system is now at a low level.
KGI students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to wear face coverings based on their preference comfort and informed by their risk level. Those who go to other Claremont College campuses will need to follow the policies of that campus.
Human Resources and Student Affairs will continue to maintain a supply of face coverings in their areas.
Students and employees who have an approved qualified exemption for the COVID-19 and Booster vaccination will still be required to test twice per week at Student Health Services (SHS).
If you are experiencing symptoms associated with COVID-19, please stay home and contact your instructor or supervisor. A complete list of symptoms can be found here.
As a reminder, handwashing is one of the best ways to keep yourself and your family healthy and prevent the spread of germs. Please review CDC recommendations on when and how to wash your hands.

Be well,
