Bioscience Strategy is focused on how capital markets, digitization, and knowledge about biological sciences are recombined to create novel business opportunities and to sustain competitive advantage in the emerging “bio-economy”. Throughout this course, we will examine and compare a variety of “healthcare disrupted” market settings and novel business models (i.e. lean innovators, around-the-patient innovators, value innovators, and new health digitals). The course also includes a simulation project that requires students to collaborate in teams and make a variety of decisions related to both strategic and operation management.
