Epigenomics will explore the dynamic world of chromatin, from DNA methylation to histone modifications to topologically association domains. The course will study how epigenetic modifications can be used to understand and predict phenotype, such as gene regulaion and inheritance patterns. Participants will also discuss how functional genomic approaches are used to understand disease etiology and risk and how the epigenome can be modified as a therapeutic strategy. Lastly, this course will consider the challenges of visualizing genome-wide datasets and explore the use of genome browsers in genomic analysis.
