This is the second course in the introduction to life sciences series. The present course is designed to provide an overview of key chemistry and behavioral science principles. In the first half of the course, students focus on chemistry, covering electrochemistry, atomic chemical behavior, intermolecular interactions, thermodynamics, and kinetics. In the second half of the course, students review behavioral science principles, including those that underlie sensory processing, perception, cognition, cognitive development, learning, emotions, stress, and self-perception.
