PA Practice II is the second course in a four-course series designed to prepare students for professional practice as a physician assistant (PA). The course series covers essential professional issues common to practicing PAs, including legislation, professionalism, medical ethics, and the business of health care. Throughout the series, a special emphasis is also placed on the development of leadership skills. This specific course provides in-depth instruction on medical ethics and important social topics in patient care, including violence, substance abuse, end-of-life issues, human sexuality, and provider wellness.
