This course provides a basic primer in the statistical methods commonly used in the biomedical sciences and the covers content necessary to facilitate interprofessional research collaborations. Topics covered include conventions of data reporting, descriptive statistics, probability, and univariate/multivaritiate hypothesis testing (including parametric and non-parametric designs). Students will learn how to select the correct statistical analysis for research scenarios, to conduct and report these analyses, and to evaluate the use of statistics in medical literature.
