IPPE 3 Health Systems Pharmacy Practice

This required course introduces students to the acute care setting of the hospital pharmacy. Opportunities for health systems management including informatics, leadership, and process are part of the curriculum of this course. Emphasis is placed on professionalism, communication, patient consultation, patient information gathering, self-care, drug information, and disease state management to prepare students for advanced pharmacy practice experience (APPE). This course is taken in the summer or fall of the P-3 Year. (PHAR 571)
