Position Overview:

The Keck Graduate Institute (KGI) is seeking to hire two new faculty members in clinical and regulatory affairs to teach within its industry oriented masters level degree programs. Candidates will have extensive experience in one or more of the following areas: clinical research, regulatory affairs, or quality assurance.  Industry experience in the areas of drugs and biologics, medical devices, and/or diagnostics is preferred. A strong interest in graduate teaching and student advising is essential, as is the ability to enhance and extend KGI’s existing partnerships with the biopharmaceutical and medial device industries and government agencies such as FDA and the European Medicine Agency (EMA).

The Keck Graduate Institute is a member of the Claremont Colleges and is dedicated to education and research aimed at translating into practice, for the benefit of society, the power and potential of the life sciences. The appointments will be within the School of Applied Life Sciences within KGI.  Over the past 15 years the school has launched the careers of hundreds of professionals within the life science industries through its leading professional masters degree, the Master of Business and Science (MBS).  The school also is home to the Amgen Bioprocessing Center, a leading national teaching and research center in bioprocessing, which in the Fall of 2016 launched an innovative Masters of Engineering in Pharmaceutical Processing Degree. 

Education and Experience:

The successful candidate will have a postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline and a minimum of ten years experience in the areas of clinical research, regulatory affairs, or quality.

While we plan on hiring at least one full-time faculty member, candidates interested in part-time appointments are also welcome to apply.  The new faculty members will be appointed as Professors of Practice, and at the full-time appointment level will teach four to five courses per year and advise students in our industry-sponsored capstone Team Master’s Project.
