Dr. Kierra D. Wright started her academic career early, pursuing a B.S. in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Biomedical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University at just 16 years old. She next entered Clark Atlanta’s Ph.D. program for Polymer Chemistry, and then completed KGI’s Postdoctoral Professional Masters (PPM) in Bioscience Management.
Following her time at KGI, Dr. Wright held positions at Endologix in R&D and SME, during which time she earned an award for operational excellence, and at Lubrizol as a Formulation Scientist at their pharmaceutical subsidiary, Particle Sciences, Inc. For two years now, she has been the lead Product Development Manager at Roehm America, heading development of specialty molding compounds for the medical industry. She also establishes strategic relationships for the company’s Global Technical Center and publishes and presents on the life-saving work they perform. Outside of innovating, Dr. Wright promotes land conservation and is an advocate for children and civil rights. Most important to her are her fun-loving 12-year-old daughter, Kainda, and cat, Cassius.
