Have you ever stopped to think about how identity affects you? Key facets of identity—like gender, social class, age, sexual orientation, race and ethnicity, and religion—play significant roles in determining how we understand and experience the world. Our identities shape the types of opportunities and challenges we face, and our interactions with others. Entering into a new culture can raise several issues of identity or introduce you to new cultural constructs you may not be familiar with. Join us for a discussion on identity construction in the U.S. including the proper use of gender-neutral pronouns (i.e. “they/them/theirs”).

Cost: FREE! Bring your lunch. The International Student Services office will provide a dessert item.
