Join us as Master of Science in Applied Life Sciences students Ariel Tang and Prathyusha Dasari present an overview of myeloproliferative neoplasms.
“Myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs) are cancers of myeloid cells that can lead to the proliferation of red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. One such MPN is essential thrombocythemia (ET), which can result from mutations in Jak2, calreticulin (CALR), thrombopoietin receptor (TPO-R), or a triple-negative (TN). In this presentation we will explore mutations that can lead to the formation of cancer, different forms of hematologic cancer, and the TPO-TPOR pathway.”
