NORD is having their second general meeting on Friday, October 21, from 12:00-1:00 p.m. Join us virtually to hear from our first guest speaker: Krista Hemming, VP of the HSAN1E Society. 

Hereditary Sensory and Autonomic Neuropathy, Type 1E (HSAN1E) is an extremely rare hereditary neurological degenerative disease that shuts down areas of the nervous systems in the body causing affected individuals to progressively be unable to function presenting itself in a triad of symptoms that include hearing loss, behavioral changes, and peripheral neuropathy. The impending complete shutdown of the body leads to the early death of the affected in their late 40s and early 50s.
