Drug Reimbursement

The talk will be about how U.S. healthcare is financed and pharmaceutical products are reimbursed. Topics included are who is making medical decisions, how drugs are paid for, recent development in pharmaceutical reimbursement, and brief introduction to healthcare financing in other countries.

Dr. Kate Choi, Adjunct Professor, Health Economics

Prior to joining KGI, Dr. Choi did postdoctoral studies in the Department of Health Services at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. She received a PhD in Economics from the University of California, Riverside and an MBA from the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Choi joined KGI in September 2014.
