Funding Clinical Studies

As explained in earlier SURE drug discovery lectures, therapeutic products are approved by the FDA for use in patients after completion of multiple years of human clinical trials, involving hundreds (or thousands) of patients, and millions (or hundreds of millions) of dollars. This talk discusses the financial implications of these trials for new and existing pharmaceutical firms.
