Charles Cronin

Charles Cronin heads development of this online Introduction to Intellectual Property Resource for Life Sciences and Pharmacy students. He is an adjunct professor at KGI where he teaches licensing of life sciences intellectual property. He is a visiting scholar at George Washington University Law School, where he heads ongoing development of his Music Copyright Infringement Resource (https://blogs.law.gwu.edu/mcir/). He has published many law review articles on topics of intellectual and cultural property law. He has been a visiting professor at University of San Diego Law School, and a lecturer at Columbia Law School. He has considerable IP consulting experience in the fragrance & flavor industry. Charles earned his undergraduate degree in music at Oberlin; his law degree (JD) from American University; MA and PhD in Historical Musicology from Stanford; and a Master’s in Information Systems from U.C. Melak Alemu

Melak Alemu is currently a senior at Virginia Tech. He is majoring in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Medicine and Society and hopes to work within the medical field. He also has a great interest within the technology and pharmaceutical field and hopes to use his background to assist others!  melak24@vt.edu 

Miles Cook

Born and raised in San Diego, Miles Cook is a rising sophomore at Harvey Mudd College studying Mathematical and Computational Biology. During his first year, Miles explored his interests in biotech through the HMC Core Curriculum and on-campus research. Outside of academics, Miles plays first base for the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Baseball team and is a peer mentor for incoming HMC students. With strong interests in both biotech and intellectual property, Miles considers studying and practicing IP in biotech-related fields after graduation. mdcook@g.hmc.edu
