Registration Open for Silver Anniversary Speaker Series Events Featuring Bioscience and Healthcare Executives

Keck Graduate Institute (KGI) continues its 25th Anniversary celebration, which started in January 2022, through May 2023 with the next round of speaker series events. The speaker series, “Innovations in Science: The Next 25 Years,” discusses the future of healthcare and critical innovation with executive leaders in the biotech and healthcare industries.
 
Dr. Steven Galson, Former Senior Vice President of Amgen and acting Surgeon General of the United States from 2007-2009 and current member of KGI’s Board of Trustees, will speak on March 29, 2023, at 4 p.m. on KGI’s campus.
 
Dr. Jeremy Levin, Chairman and CEO of Ovid Therapeutics, continues the series on April 20, 2023, at 4 p.m. on KGI’s campus.
 
Both events are free and open to the Claremont community, all KGI students, alumni, faculty, staff, trustees, and friends. Register for Galson. Register for Levin.
 
KGI’s 25th Anniversary speaker series started on October 7, 2022, during the Founder’s Day celebration with a panel discussion about the future of biotech with KGI Board of Trustee members Dr. Ross Grossman, Teresia Bost, and Dr. Lydia Villa-Komaroff, moderated by Bonnie Anderson. Dr. David Lawrence, former dean of KGI’s School of Community Medicine, then spoke about the future of healthcare.
 
The Speaker Series then took to the road in San Diego with KGI Professor Dr. Kiana Aran in conversation with Dr. Paul Grint on November 1, 2022. To kick off 2023, Dr. Stephen Kingsmore, President and CEO of Rady Children’s Institute for Genomic Medicine, visited KGI on January 19, 2023.
 
KGI’s 25th Anniversary Speaker Series concludes on May 13, 2023, at the annual Commencement Ceremony, where invited guests will listen to Dr. Marcia McNutt, president of the National Academy of Sciences, as the keynote speaker.
