Erik Fouts

Erik Fouts is a biotech executive with over 20 years of biopharmaceutical development and manufacturing experience. He has held several leadership roles within Technical Operations including responsibility for BioMarin’s California-based manufacturing facilities, Program and Portfolio Management, and Process Sciences.  During his tenure at BioMarin, he has contributed to numerous technology transfers, manufacturing campaigns, and regulatory filings culminating in seven product approvals ranging from therapeutic proteins and peptides to AAV based gene therapy vectors. Fouts was performing gene expression research at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory prior to joining BioMarin in 2000.  He holds a B.A. in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from U.C. San Diego and a Ph.D. in Molecular and Cell Biology from U.C. Berkeley.
