Kirsten Torguson serves as KGI’s Director of the Office of Research & Sponsored Projects. In this position, she is responsible for all aspects of KGI’s grant and contract activities. Torguson has a broad background in all aspects of research administration, including proposal development, pre-award and post-award grants management, project management, compliance, audit, intellectual property, and financial reporting.
She has almost 20 years of experience in research administration and is an active member of several research administration professional societies, including the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA) and Society of Research Administrators International (SRA). She is also a Certified Research Administrator (CRA).
Torguson graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2013 with a Master of Science in Research Administration and served as an adjunct instructor in the College of Health & Public Affairs, teaching PAD 5850, a master’s-level class in Grant Writing & Contract Management.
