Dr. Rebecca Tran, who joined KGI in August 2017, is an Associate Professor of Clinical Sciences at KGI’s School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Prior to joining KGI, Dr. Tran was an Associate Professor at Loma Linda University School of Pharmacy (LLUSP) for 12 years, where she taught and coordinated a variety of courses including cardiovascular diseases, drug information/literature evaluation, and a pharmaceutical care laboratory.
She also held leadership positions at her previous academic institution including Vice Chair of the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Residency Coordinator of the PGY2 Cardiology Residency Program. She has chaired several committees including Assessment and Promotion and Tenure. Dr. Tran received her PharmD from University of Southern California School of Pharmacy and completed a pharmacy practice residency at VA Loma Linda Healthcare System and a cardiovascular pharmacotherapy fellowship with University of the Pacific and VA San Diego Healthcare System.
At KGI, Dr. Tran teaches cardiology in the core curriculum and in a MTO certificate elective. Her practice site is at Adventist Health Glendale and her areas of interest within cardiology include lipidology and heart failure.
